  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 cup carrots, diced

  • 1 cup celery, diced

  • 2 Granny Smith apples, diced

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 8 ounces salted butter, melted

  • 15 slices bread, cut into small cubes (regular or gluten free!)

  • 1.5 – 2 cups chicken broth

  • 2 cups chopped pecans

  • 1.5 teaspoons onion powder

  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1.5 teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

______________

Instructions |

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  • Chop the onions then throw them in a bowl and mix them with the sugar. Let onions sit while you prepare the other ingredients.

  • In a skillet over medium high heat, add some olive oil and sauté the carrots, celery, minced garlic and apples for a few minutes until soft.

  • Add the melted butter to the skillet then add in the onions (if there is any liquid from the onions & sugar, strain that out).

  • Remove the skillet from the heat and put everything into a mixing bowl. Add the bread and stir it together well.

  • Add in the chicken broth, pecans, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and parsley. Slowly mix it all together.

  • Pour the stuffing into a greased 13” x 9” baking dish.

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

  • After 45 minutes, remove foil and let it bake for another 5-8 minutes to make the top nice and golden brown.

  • Serve with your turkey & enjoy!
